MAC DEBATE

The issue before Yucca Mesa is how to legally help protect the Mesa from future SOI/Annexation attempts by the Town of Yucca Valley at no cost to the taxpayers, yet provide a non-intrusive, service-oriented government.

There are two sides to this issue:

  • The Stop Yucca Mesa Annexation Coalition is supporting the formation of a legal Yucca Mesa Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) through Supervisor Derry's office for the Community of Yucca Mesa ONLY.

  • The Homestead Valley Community Council (HVCC) and the Yucca Mesa Improvement Association (YMIA) support HVCC and YMIA as the governing bodies for the entire Homestead Valley (Yucca Mesa, Flamingo Heights, Landers, and Johnson Valley).

We encourage you to include your comments in this debate. Please e-mail them to:  StopAnnex@gmail.com.

LET'S KEEP WITH THE ISSUES!
