Welcome to the Stop Yucca Mesa Annexation Coalition Watchdogs Reports on issues affecting Yucca Mesa. These reports are for your information and/or action for you to form a political action group to oppose or support an issue. The Watchdogs DO NOT take positions or campaign on issues unless the issue is a direct threat by the Town of Yucca Valley to begin the annexation process through a Sphere of Influence (SOI) or Annexation. The Watchdogs DO NOT support or oppose candidates running for office unless that candidate supports placing a Sphere of Influence or Annexation over Yucca Mesa by the Town of Yucca Valley. To clarify, the Stop Yucca Mesa Annexation Coalition will ONLY campaign to stop direct threats of a Sphere of Influence or Annexation of the Mesa. The alerts and information provided by the Coalition in this website are to alert the residents of issues that may concern them for their actions. The Watchdogs support reinstating the Yucca Mesa Municipal Advisory Council (MAC) by the San Bernardino County Board of Supervisors. At this point in time, Supervisor Neil Derry does not support reinstating the MAC for Yucca Mesa. Further, he did not support the Mesa's opposition to not be annexed or oppose the SOI process by the Town of Yucca Valley. Neil Derry will be opposed by the Coalition if he decides to run for re-election in 2012. Yucca Mesa needs a Supervisor who will be responsive to the needs of the Yucca Mesa community to be served by a legal representative government. Everyone is invited to "keep their ears and eyes open" for issues that may affect or will affect the Community of Yucca Mesa. We need EVERYONE'S input and EVERYONE is a Watchdog. If you attend a meeting, please help us be better Watchdogs by completing THIS FORM, so we can gather important information about the issue. We need lots of eyes and ears! Thank you.
